One person has died after a single-vehicle crash at Ohinewai, north of Hamilton.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Tahuna Road at 12.50pm.
It was expected the road would remain closed for several hours, police said.
Diversions are in place, however, police have asked motorists to avoid the area.
