Some sodden parts of the North Island are in for another bout of wet weather tonight and tomorrow.
The Bay of Plenty has been slashed with torrential rain and strong winds today, with Waihi being one of the worst hit areas.
MetService has issued another severe thunderstorm warning for the Bay of Plenty, as well as for the Coromandel Peninsula, from tonight until 8am Tuesday morning.

There are heavy rain warnings in place for the Coromandel Peninsula and northern Gisborne, while a heavy rain watch is in place for Hawke's Bay and southern Gisborne.
And some inland parts of the South Island have been hit with a wintery blast this weekend.
Waka Kotahi said crews have been flat out today clearing snowy southern alpine highways and laying grit on the roads for motorists.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were also issued earlier today for the Bay of Plenty but later lifted.
