Wellington police have charged a man in relation to a hit-and-run on Sunday in which two pedestrians were seriously injured.
The crash happened just after 1am on Cable Street in the CBD.
The car fled the scene but was later found on Evans Bay Parade, and the two people inside were arrested.
A 23-year-old will appear in Wellington District Court on Monday, facing charges of excess breath alcohol causing injury, failing to stop to ascertain injury following a crash, failing to stop for police, and driving while suspended
