Two people have died on the roads in separate crashes in the North Island on Saturday.
One person died after a two-vehicle crash in Glenbervie near Whāngarei, about 5.50pm on Ngunguru Road near Rockingham Road.
Two other people received moderate injuries, and the road was closed while emergency services were at the scene.
Another person died in a single motorbike crash about 3.50pm on State Highway 57, between Orrs Road and Centre Road, in Aokautere, Palmerston North.
The road has reopened.
