One person is in custody after a death at an Auckland motel.
Police said emergency services were called to a motel on Alpers Avenue in Epsom about 7.25pm.
One person there had serious injuries and died at the scene.
Detective inspector Scott Armstrong said the person in custody was helping them determine the circumstances of the death.
A scene guard was currently in place at the motel.
