There have been 3484 new cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand over the past week and 22 further deaths.
Of the new cases, 1451 or just over 40 percent were reinfections. There were 157 people in hospital, and two in intensive care.
Forty-three people caught Covid-19 less than 90 days after their last infection.
Aotearoa is into the second week without any mandates, and those who test positive for the virus no longer need to isolate for seven days.
Canterbury has the most reported cases with 541, followed by Waitematā with 434.
The seven-day rolling average of cases was down to 497.
Last week saw 3953 new cases reported and 12 further deaths.
