One person died in a two vehicle crash in Hauraki on Wednesday morning.
Police said the crash was reported at about 7.20am at the corner of Awaiti Road and Awaiti West Road, Netherton.
One person died at the scene, while another was taken to hospital in a moderate condition, police said.
The road was closed but had since reopened.
The Serious Crash Unit had been advised and an investigation into how the crash occurred was ongoing, police said.
