Police have arrested two people after an aggravated robbery in Eden Terrace in Auckland on 21 September.

Detective Senior Sergeant John De Heer said police were called to Edinburgh Castle Bar and Restaurant about 11.30am, after a report of offenders entering the building, one armed with a knife.

One man allegedly used a knife to threaten a victim as he demanded money, De Heer said.

"The victim was unharmed and the offenders have fled the scene with an amount of cash."

Police followed several lines of inquiry, including CCTV, leading to the arrests.

Four search warrants were carried out last Thursday in Auckland city, Mt Eden, Albany and Belmont in relation to the robbery, De Heer said.

"We are pleased to have been able to make arrests in this matter, and hope it brings reassurance to the wider community," he said.

"Police are continuing to look for a further offender."

A 38-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, who is charged with committing burglary with a weapon, will appear in Auckland District Court later this month.
