Police searching for Auckland man, Dylan Barford, who has been missing since the 24 September have made an appeal to trace three vehicles seen on CCTV.
Officers say the vehicles were all captured on CCTV travelling north between State Highway 16 and State Highway 18 at Brigham and Creek Road.
Barford, 34, who is of medium build, 168cm tall with tattoos on his left forearm and right rear elbow, is believed to have been seen at this stretch of the motorway in the early hours of the 24 September.
The first vehicle which is described as silver in appearance, was seen slowing down on the motorway, eventually stopping on the shoulder of the motorway which backs onto Costco Northwest, Westgate. The vehicle stopped for four minutes before leaving the scene at 4.32am.
Around 4:29am, a second vehicle, possibly a dark sedan travelling north, is seen briefly braking on the motorway passing the parked vehicle.
The third vehicle, a white sedan travelling north is seen heavily braking at 4.30am before passing the same parked silver vehicle and continuing north.
Barford was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue adidas tear away pants.
Police have asked for anyone travelling in any of the vehicles in the early hours of Sunday 24 September to get in touch quoting case file number 230924/2185.
