A man has died after what police are calling a "family harm incident" in the Wellington suburb of Strathmore today.
Police said they responded to an incident at a property on Raukawa Street at about 10.50am.
The victim reportedly died from injuries sustained during a family harm incident, they said.
"Investigations are ongoing to understand what has occurred and a scene guard is in place at the address," police said in a statement.
"Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends during this tragic time."
Police said it appears to be an isolated incident and residents can expect to see an increased presence in the area during the probe.
