The evacuation of a busy Auckland mall just days before Christmas appears to be a false alarm.
Shoppers filed into the car park at Westfield St Lukes late Saturday morning when an alarm went off.
Fire and Emergency said two fire trucks, a ladder truck and a specialist command unit were sent to the mall.
There was no smoke or fire and the crews have been stood down.
