A person has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after their car crashed into a lamp post on Auckland's Dominion Road.
In a statement, police said emergency services were called about 4pm to a serious crash that had blocked the road in Mount Roskill.
The thoroughfare was shut between Kings Road and Haig Avenue.
The serious crash unit is investigating, and drivers in the area should expect delays, police said.
