A road has been closed after a single-vehicle crash near Alexandra, Otago.
The crash SH8/Alexandra-Fruitlands Road was reported to police at 10.50am.
"Initial indications suggest there are serious injuries," police said in a statement.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
