A homicide probe has been launched after the death of a woman in Palmerston North
Police in Palmerston North are investigating a homicide, following the death of a woman at a house in overnight.
Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Deegan said emergency services received reports of a person being seriously injured at an address on Featherston Street in Roslyn just after midnight on Thursday.
He said the victim received medical attention but died at the scene.
"This will be a shock to many in our city, however we do not believe there is a risk to the wider community," Deegan said.
Cordons were in place and a scene examination would happen over the next few days..
