Strong and gusty winds has resulted in a burn pile getting out of control in the Mackenzie District Monday night.
Fire and Emergency was called to a farm in Ashwick Flat around 10pm.
Fire trucks from surrounding areas including Tekapo were sent to the scene to fight the blaze.
It was now out and no one was injured.
