Enquiries are ongoing into a collision between two vehicles in Wellington overnight.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Karo Drive and Willis Street around 10:40pm.
One of the vehicles was flipped onto its side and had collided with a pole.
Two people had to be rescued by Fire and Emergency staff, and were treated for minor to moderate injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
One person was flung from the boat in the crash in a remote part of Southland.
Police say the car struck a barrier, multiple fences and a power box on Haumoana Road last night.
