A man who was critically injured in Porirua last weekend has died in hospital.
Emergency services were called to Kotuku Street in Elsdon in the early hours of 1 December, to find a 43-year-old man with critical injuries.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Middlemiss of Kāpiti Mana police said investigators were treating the death as "suspicious", but no charges had been laid at this stage.
"Our condolences are with his family who we are supporting at this difficult time," he said.
"Police would like to reiterate this is an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public."
