A person is in a critical but stable condition after a fight between two family members in Auckland.
The police said they were called to a house on Moncrieff Avenue in Clendon at 2.40am Sunday.
They said a man "was extremely agitated, assaulting responding officers".
The officers were not hurt.
An injured person was taken to hospital where they are now in a stable condition.
A 23-year-old man is due to appear in the Manukau District Court Monday on charges of assaulting and resisting police and wounding with intent.
