Firefighters have been busy tackling scrub fires in the North Island.
A vegetation fire at Tāheke in Northland is now under control, with crews working to extinguish it.
Fire and Emergency has been battling a blaze in the Tahorakuri Forest area 20km north of Taupō since Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson said the fire jumped the containment line on Thursday after winds picked up, and crews had been working overnight to contain it again.
And firefighters were continuing to work to extinguish a blaze near Parewānui in the Rangitikei District.
