Police are investigating a spate of burglaries in the Canterbury town of Rolleston.
Officers said there have been three separate incidents reported since New Year's Day.
The items stolen include a number of military medals, including a Pacific Star medal, which Australia's Ministry of Defence says was awarded to those who served in the Pacific from December 1941 to September 1945.
Some distinctive jewellery and a go-kart have also been stolen, police said.
They are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 105, using the reference number 250123/2449.
Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
