Police are seeking witnesses to a stabbing in a Palmerston North bar last night.
They were called to the business on Main Street about 11.30pm on Monday after reports of a fight involving a small group of people.
One person was found with a stab wound to the neck and was taken to hospital.
A scene guard was put in place at the bar overnight and police were to examine the scene on Tuesday.
Hato Hone St John said it was notified about an assault on Main Street, at 11.23pm. An ambulance, and one rapid response unit responded treating one person with serious injuries at the scene.
It did not transport the patient to hospital.
