Police in Auckland are investigating two jewellery store robberies from Sunday they believe could be linked.
A group of offenders targeted Krishna Jewellers in Papatoetoe just after 4pm.
Manukau detective senior sergeant Dave Paea said the group forced their way inside the store on Great South Road, smashing glass cabinets and stealing jewellery before fleeing the scene.
Their vehicle was found abandoned nearby.

Later that day, a group entered Mānawa Bay shopping centre near Auckland Airport.
They ran into a jewellery store inside the mall, smashing cabinets and taking jewellery, before fleeing in the stolen vehicle they arrived in.
"This was abandoned nearby on Richard Pearse Drive, with the offenders splitting into two vehicles," Paea said.
"It is fortunate that no staff working suffered any physical injuries, but they are understandably shaken."
Police were working to identify the group and asked anyone with information to come forward.
