A trial date has been set for Auckland entertainer Cole Johnston, accused of rape and grooming.
The musician and former National Youth Theatre tutor appeared at the Auckland District Court on Tuesday.
Johnston is facing several charges including rape and indecent acts towards a girl aged between 12 and 15.
Court documents said the alleged offending occurred in Auckland between January 2017 and January 2021.
His trial has been set to begin on the 24 August, 2026, and is expected to last a week.
