Some boat owners in Nelson say they will be forced to leave their marina berths because Nelson City Council plans to raise their fees by 15%.
The council, which owns the marina in the Nelson Haven, is being accused of abusing its monopoly powers with its annual plan proposal.
Marina Users Association chairman Colin Walker says many of the 500 boat owners at the marina feel unfairly targeted compared to users of other council facilities.
The council is calling for submissions on its annual plan proposals before the end of the month.
