The Prime Minister has denied accidentally revealing the sex of her baby in a radio interview.
Jacinda Ardern announced that she was pregnant on Friday saying she would step down as Prime Minister for six weeks when she has her first baby in June.
Some media are reporting Jacinda Ardern may have let slip the secret during an interview on More FM, suggesting she referred to the baby with the pronoun "her".
But Ms Ardern said that was not the case.
"And I know in defending myself we could get into a whole other conversation, but no I did not, I imagine we're going to be playing this game for quite some time now aren't we? I'll be clearly articulating all of my words."
Jacinda Ardern and her partner Clarke Gayford know the baby's gender, but have decided to keep it a secret.
