Police have named the 14-year-old killed in an alleged hit-and-run in Opotiki on the weekend as Rangimaria Christine White.

The teen, from Te Teko, is believed to have been struck by a vehicle on Goring Street.
Police said she was treated by paramedics at the scene but died on the way to hospital.
They were still appealing for information from the public about her death and were yet to find the vehicle involved.
Police will formally interview today people as part of the investigation.
