Coach Steve Hansen said it was just a precaution, and Nonu later flew out of Auckland to join the team in London.
Meanwhile, Hansen's reiterated that injured wing Waisake Naholo was on track to play in the All Blacks' third pool game against Georgia.
The side wrapped up their final preparations on home soil on Wednesday, and they wing their way to London late Thursday night.
And Hansen admitted he was likely to put out his best possible side against Argentina in their opening match of the World Cup.
The All Blacks they hope to win the Webb Ellis trophy for the first time on foreign soil and become the first team to win back-to-back titles.
