The Warriors have missed out on luring former New Zealand rugby league international Frank Pritchard to Auckland, with Pritchard re-affirming his commitment to English Super League club Hull.

Hull announced the signing of the Canterbury Bulldogs forward on a two-year contract - with the option of a third season - in June, but the New Zealand Warriors are believed to have stepped in with a late offer.
"As far as were concerned he is going to Hull but, if he doesn't, we would be interested," Warriors CEO Jim Doyle told News Corp Australia.
Hull moved today to halt the speculation, insisting the player will fly to England next week to launch his new career at the KC Stadium.
In a statement issued by the club, Pritchard said: "I will be heading over there next week and I'm really looking forward to it."
"It's flattering that there may have been some interest elsewhere but I'm a man of my word and will see out my commitment," he said.
Hull coach Lee Radford wasn't surprised there was interest in Pritchard both in Europe and in the NRL.
"He is a top quality rugby league player and a sound professional and we can't wait to have him at the club," Radford said.
"The performances he put in, and the manner in which he finished last season, reaffirmed his quality on the field."
"But by showing the loyalty to Hull FC by turning down a lucrative opportunity elsewhere proves we are not only bringing in an elite athlete but also a champion bloke."
