Lydia Ko has made a solid start to her 2016 season on the LPGA Tour.
In her first competitive round of the year, Ko fired a three under 69 in her first round at the Coates Golf Championship in Florida.
The world number one got off to a shaky start though, she bogeyed the par four third hole before closing out her round with four birdies on the back nine.
The New Zealander is in a tie for eighth, four shots off the lead which is held by South Korea's Ha Na Jang.
Jang created history last week when she made an albatross on a par four at the Bahamas Classic, the first of its kind on the LPGA Tour.
Next week Ko will fly home to try and defend her New Zealand Open title at the Clearwater Golf Club in Christchurch.
