Rower Hamish Bond has made a successful return to cycling winning the national time trial title in Cambridge this afternoon.
Bond a two time Olympic rowing champion initially switched to cycling after the Rio Olympics and won a Commonwealth Games bronze medal in the road road before returning to rowing last year.
He intends competing at the Tokyo Olympics in the eight but has made a brief return to cycling for the national road camps before getting back in the boat to compete at the national rowing champs next week.
Bond completed the 39 kilometre time trial 15 seconds ahead of his nearest rival George Bennett.
Defending time trial champion Patrick Bevin didn't compete this year due to health issues which arose during last month's Tour Down Under.
