Former New Zealand basketballer Sean Marks has pulled off a blockbuster trade in the NBA.
The Nets general manager has lured 2018 NBA Most Valuable Player James Harden to Brooklyn from the Houston Rockets.
Harden has led the NBA in scoring in his past three seasons in Houston and he will now be reunited with former Oklahoma City Thunder team-mate Kevin Durant.
Durant is also a past NBA MVP and multiple scoring champion.
The Rockets had earlier told Harden to stay away from the team until a trade was completed.
It follows his rant after Houston lost 117-100 to the Los Angeles Lakers to drop to 3-6 this season.
"I mean, this situation is crazy. It's something that I don't think can be fixed," Harden said after the game.
"We're just not good enough -- chemistry, talent-wise, just everything. And it was clear these last two games."
Harden has got his wish to be traded but it remains to be seen how he, Durant and point guard Kyrie Irving will co-exist at Brooklyn.
