However, he has now revealed on social media that he actually fractured a rib.

Lee is currently 178 in the rankings, needing to finish in the top 125 to secure his PGA Tour card for next season.

He was due to play the British Open this week.

The 30 year old joined the US PGA Tour in 2012.

RLWC to be played as planned

The Rugby League World Cup will take place as scheduled in England later this year after participation agreements were signed by competing nations.

Organisers have been working with the British government and authorities to stage the event in October and November.

There were issues regarding Covid regulations and quarantine rules for players and staff travelling back to New Zealand and Australia.

For the first time, the men's, women's and wheelchair events will all take place simultaneously.

The Kiwis open their tournament against Lebanon on October 24th followed by pool games against Jamaica and Ireland, while the Kiwi Ferns play France, Cook Islands and Australia.

The tournament involves 16 men's teams and 8 women's teams.

ESPN reported Parker and his trainer Andy Lee were among those in Tyson Fury's inner circle that had returned positive tests in Las Vegas.

Fury himself tested positive, forcing his WBC title defence against Deontay Wilder to be postponed.

But Parker has told Newshub that he didn't test positive so he was able to attend UFC 264 at the weekend.

"I found out I had Covid in the paper," Parker said.

"Before I went to the fights, I returned a negative test. Everything is all good here with me and my family."

Federer, who turns 40 next month, had two knee surgeries in 2020 which resulted in more than a year of rehabilitation.

He withdrew from the French Open after winning his third round match to save himself for the grasscourt season. He was beaten in the quarter-final at Wimbledon.

"During the grass court season, I unfortunately experienced a setback with my knee, and have accepted that I must withdraw from the Tokyo Olympic Games," Federer said on Twitter.

"I am greatly disappointed, as it has been an honour and highlight of my career each time I have represented Switzerland.

"I have already begun rehabilitation in the hopes of returning to the tour later this summer. I wish the entire Swiss team the best of luck and I will be rooting hard from afar."

Federer won the gold medal in the doubles at the 2008 Games in Beijing and a silver medal in the singles four years later in London.

The Bora-Hansgrohe rider broke away from a small group 36.5 kilometres from the finish in the day's last significant climb and never looked back as his chasers reacted too late.

The 29-year-old crossed the line 42 seconds before Italian champion Sonny Colbrelli, who outsprinted Australian Michael Matthews for second.

Konrad is only the third Austrian rider to win a stage on the Tour after Georg Totschnig in 2005, and Max Bulla who won three stages and wore the yellow jersey for a day.

Defending champion Tadej Pogacar retained the overall leader's yellow jersey as the main contenders kept their powder dry ahead of Wednesday's much-feared 17th stage to the Col du Portet, a 16-km ascent at an average gradient of 8.7%.

To get there, they will first tackle the Col de Peyresourde (13.2-km at 7%) and the Col de Val Louron-Azet (7.4km at 8.3%).

Balbirnie stroked 102 from 117 balls as the home side posted 290 for five in their 50 overs, before restricting the tourists to 247 all out in their reply to secure the historic victory and a 1-0 lead in the series after the opener was washed out.

After being sent in to bat, opener Balbirnie received excellent support from Harry Tector (79 from 68 balls), while there was also a flourish from George Dockrell (45 from 23) at the end.

South Africa, who again rested key batsman Quinton de Kock, battled to keep up with the run-rate throughout and when opener Janneman Malan (84 from 96) and Rassie van der Dussen (49 from 70) fell in quick succession with the score on 160, their chances of victory slipped away.

The third match in the series will be played at the same venue on Friday.
