Olympic bronze medallist Hayden Wilde has safely progressed to the final of the World Triathlon Championship Series event in Montreal.
Wilde has finished fifth in his qualifying race, with the top 10 advancing to tomorrow's three-part 'eliminator final'.
The 23-year-old was just a second behind the qualifying race winner, Australian Jacob Birtwhistle.
Fellow Olympians Tayler Reid, Nicole van der Kaay and Ainsley Thorpe have also progressed from their qualifying races, but compatriots Dylan McCullough, Trent Thorpe and Saxon Morgan have finished outside the top 10.
McCullough, Thorpe and Morgan have also failed to advance from the repechage race.
The races are being held over a super-sprint distance, featuring a 300m swim, a 7.2km bike and a 2km run.
The men's and women's finals have been split into three triathlons.
The top 20 from the first final will advance to the second, with just the top 10 from that race to then battle for the three places on the podium.
