Here is all you need to know about the match, how to buy tickets, and where it's going down.

The sides

The match is the first of the All Blacks' 2024 season. Their opponents, England, are currently ranked the fifth-best men's side in the world. The 2023 World Cup runners-up recently came third in the Northern Hemisphere's Six Nations tournament.

The All Blacks are ranked third, behind Six Nations winners Ireland and World Cup champions South Africa.

The last time the two sides met was in 2022 at Twickenham, where they drew 25-25.

Of their 43 previous encounters, New Zealand have won 33 and England eight, with one draw. The last time England beat the All Blacks in New Zealand was 2003.

England are coached by Steve Borthwick, who named a 36-strong squad for their tour of New Zealand and Japan, including six uncapped players.

New Zealand are coached by Scott Robertson, who named a 32-strong squad for the two matches against England (including at Eden Park the following Saturday) and Fiji. It included five uncapped players.

Tickets to the Dunedin match range between $65 and $245 (plus fees). They are available from the All Blacks' website.

Hospitality packages start at $599 per person.

Getting to the venue early is recommended, as there will be a bag search at each entrance.

Future matches

The All Blacks will face England in the second test on 13 July at Eden Park, in Auckland.

The following weekend they will face Fiji at SnapDragon Stadium in San Diego, US.
