Fresh from claiming gold in the women's kayak fours on Thursday, Dame Lisa Carrington and Alicia Hoskin have nabbed another gold in the women's 500m kayak doubles.

The men's K2 team - Kurtis Imrie and Hamish Legarth - are out of medal contention after finishing seventh in their semifinal.

Meanwhile, Lydia Ko has returned to Le Golf National for the third day of the women's individual golf tournament, after surging up the leaderboard and into medal contention on Thursday.

At 4.09am, cyclists Bryony Botha and Emily Shearman are back in action in the velodrome in the women's madison final.

They have already won silver in Paris for the women's team pursuit and will be looking to add to their haul.

And cyclists Ellesse Andrews and Shaane Fulton are into the 1/16 sprint finals after setting New Zealand records during their qualifiers and winning their first head-to-head races.
