New Zealand golfer Liz McKinnon has extended her remarkable run at the World Speedgolf Championships.
McKinnon won the latest event in Japan to extend her unbeaten streak to ten years.
She triumphed in the women's section by shooting rounds of 77 in 55 minutes 22 seconds and 72 in 55 minutes 39 seconds.
McKinnon also won team gold with Amy Linton.
She credited her training over the last year for her success.
"While I wasn't entirely stoked with my running, I was really happy with my golf scores. The course was challenging, with over 180 metres of elevation and spongy grass, but that's what makes Speedgolf so rewarding."
"It's probably the closest I'll ever feel to being an athlete, being on the podium was pretty cool.
Golf New Zealand CEO Jeff Latch described McKinnon's decade-long unbeaten streak as "nothing short of extraordinary."
Bernie Smith and Robin Smith picked up silver and bronze medals respectively in the men's competition.
New Zealand had 14 golfers competing at the Speedgolf World Championships across both open and senior events.
The next New Zealand Speedgolf Open is in April, while the World Championships return to New Zealand in 2026.
