The New Zealand men's hockey team has scraped into the semi-finals at the Commonwealth Games after snatching a late 1-1 draw with Canada in their final pool clash in Delhi.
The Black Sticks needed a last minute equaliser from Hayden Shaw to save the match and secure second place in pool B, sealing their spot in Tuesday night's semi-finals.
However they now face the daunting prospect of having to beat the top ranked Australians in the semi-finals after New Zealand's trans-Tasman rivals finished top of pool A.
The Black Sticks women play South Africa in their semi-final tonight.
