Who're you gonna call?

Police say they can do nothing to stop a group of teenage boys in Auckland having sex with drunk, underage girls until someone makes a formal complaint. They say they have known about the group calling itself Roastbusters since 2011.

Detective Inspector Bruce Scott says the handful of 17- and 18-year-olds started a Facebook page and have been posting videos and details of girls they got drunk and had sex with, in a practice called roasting. He said police have spoken to some of the boys to warn them, and some of the victims they have identified were underage.

Mr Scott says what the teenagers are doing is morally objectionable but the police can not take action until a formal complaint is made. The Facebook page was taken down at the weekend.
