One woman is making Christmas a better experience for people living with the reality of violence in the home.
The woman, who only wants to be known as Jackie, started a campaign ealier this year on twitter to generate donations for the Te Whare o Marama Mangere women's refuge in South Auckland.
The refuge relies on private funding, plus some from the Ministry of Social Development, to help women and their children get back on their feet.
