Working as a hack

A reporter who accessed Sienna Miller's voicemail says he was told to “jump off a cliff” if he didn’t get a front page exclusive.

The Telegraph says Dan Evans, a former News of the World and Sunday Mirror reporter, admitted phone hacking for both papers and intercepted the intimate message in 2005.

At the trial the jury heard of former editor of News of the World Andy Coulson becoming “very animated” after hearing a voicemail of Sienna Miller saying “I love you”, to James bond star Daniel Craig while she was in a relationship with actor Jude Law.

Coulson described a hacked voicemail revealing an affair between Miller and Craig as "brilliant", the court heard.

Giving evidence for a second day, Evans explained that he had been "monstered" by a senior colleague and told his job was on the line if he did not come up with an exclusive.
