Sitting MPs Chris Hipkins and Phil Twyford are the two biggest movers on the Labour Party's list for the general election, Radio New Zealand reports.
Mr Twyford has jumped from 33rd in 2011 to seventh this year, and Mr Hipkins from 30th to ninth. Grant Robertson, David Shearer, David Parker and Iain Lees-Galloway have also been promoted.
Of the women MPs, Nanaia Mahuta and Jacinda Ardern have been promoted into the top 10.
West Coast-Tasman MP Damien O'Connor, who did not go on the list at the last election, has been ranked No 22, one place ahead of the highest-ranked newcomer Priyanca Radhakrishnan.
Labour Party president Moira Coatsworth said on Monday that several new candidates have got places in the top 30 or 40. However, she said Labour would have to campaign hard to lift its party vote to ensure some of that new blood gets into Parliament.
Ms Coatsworth said new candidates such as Ms Radhakrishnan, Rachel Jones and Liz Craig all have winnable positions on the party list. 31 year old Willow Jean Prime is at number 34, while Arena Williams, who The Wireless profiled as part of a series on political up-and-comers, is at 40.
