Germany have won the football World Cup final after scoring late in the second period of extra time to beat Argentina 1-nil after regular time finished without a goal being scored.
Substitute forward Mario Goetze scored the winning goal with a superb strike inside the Argentina box with about 7 minutes of extra time remaining.
It's Germany's first World Cup title since 1990 and the third time in World Cup history the final has gone to extra time.
