Key rejects Hager's claims of dirty politics

6:39 pm on 14 August 2014

Prime Minister John Key is denying any collusion between government ministers or Beehive staffers, and right-wing blogger Cameron Slater, in claims of dirty politics made by author Nicky Hagar.

Mr Hager on Wednesday night launched Dirty Politics, which he says is an expose of tactics used by the Government and right-wing bloggers to undermine other political figures.

The book focuses on the internal communications between bloggers Cameron Slater of WhaleOil and David Farrar and a network of National Party figures, including some of the Mr Key's own staff.

Mr Key says Nicky Hager's book makes wild allegations and joins dots that can't be connected.

However, Mr Key said he would take further advice about claims in the book about actions Ms Collins took while she was the minister of ACC and Corrections.
