Drug driving on the rise

The Police Minister says changes are needed to stop people driving while under the influence of drugs.

Michael Woodhouse spoke at the Drug Foundation's drug driving symposium in Wellington, and said not enough is known about the extent of drug driving, especially about how to test for it.

But what testing there is available shows drugs contibute to a number of road deaths, and the prevelance of them on the roads is increasing.
