Style File is a series that looks at young New Zealand fashion designers through different phases of their careers.
Owning his own clothing label had always been a passion for graphic designer and skater Tom Richardson, who started his label Sixty Forty last year.
Though he’d had a few labels in the past, social media and networking have allowed him to create a solid buzz, especially with music fans. He works closely with musicians and producers from the New Zealand hip hop scene including Jay Knight, Blaze The Emperor and Raiza Biza, who all model his range.
Tom is has big dreams for Sixty Forty. But if you’re only just getting started, how do you make your label stand out in an over-saturated market?
