Average Rap Band: Ditching their former project @Peace, Tom Scott and Lui Tuiasau have recently released the great Stream of Nonsenseness EP as Average Rap Band. They’ve also got a quick two dates lined up in Auckland and Wellington over the next couple of weeks. Ahead of a show at Bodega on November 13, they play this Friday at Galatos. Support comes from Eno x Dirty and tickets are available via Dash.

95bFM Breakfast Club: 95bFM are holding their last ever Breakfast Club on Friday morning. Taking place at Real Groovy Auckland, Street Chant and Bailey Wiley will be performing from 8:15am and the show will also be broadcast live on bFM’s show with Max and Vince. If you’re heading along, there’ll also be free coffee for bCard holders between 7am-8am and a 10 per cent discount for those shopping in store between 8am-9am.

Salad Boys: After touring the States earlier this month, Christchurch band Salad Boys are back in the country and about to head out on a brief tour in support of their debut album Metalmania. Things begin tonight at the Darkroom before shows at Meow tomorrow and Golden Dawn on Friday. They’ll also be playing in store at Southbound Records in Auckland on Saturday afternoon. Ron Gallipoli: Sharpie Crows singer Sam Bradford aka Ron Gallipoli is about to release his new “tropical-industrial album” AGROKOMPLEX. He’ll be celebrating the follow-up to last year’s Ron Gallipoli Loves You All with a show at Golden Dawn this Friday. Entry is $5 on the door and support comes from Soccerpractise and DJ KTK.

Mel Parsons: Recent Silver Scroll finalist Mel Parsons has just begun her five-date tour of the country and she continues this week with dates in Nelson, Auckland and Wellington. She’ll be playing with her full band throughout the tour and support comes from Julia Deans. Tickets here, and in case you missed it, watch her video for ‘Get Out Alive’, below.

Famous Dead People: Good As Gold and Vice are throwing a Halloween party this Saturday at Meow in Wellington. The theme is ‘Famous Dead People’ and performing on the night are Eastern Bloc, bAY ROAD CLIQUE, The All Seeing Hand, Tigers of the Sea, and DJ sets from Scuba Diva and Martyn Pepperell. Tickets are available in-store at GAG.

Violent Soho: Brisbane alt-rock act Violent Soho are in New Zealand for a one-off show this Friday at The Kings Arms. The four-piece band, who head back our way next year as part of the lineup for Laneway festival, will be joined by Miss June, PCP Eagles and Die! Die! Die! DJs. Tickets are available from Under The Radar.
