A Young Gifted and Broke Christmas Party: Team Dynamite, Raiza Biza, Eno x Dirty and MeloDownz hit up Galatos for the YGB Christmas Party this Saturday in Auckland.  They’ll also be joined by 95bFM breakfast host Mac Oldfield as support to round things out. Get in quick right here for presales.

The All Seeing Hand: Local trio The All Seeing Hand are bringing their ferocious live show to Wellington venue Meow on Friday night. They’ll be joined by Auckland act Girls Pissing On Girls Pissing and recent introducee Womb. Entry is free, so there’s not really any reason to not go.

Flying Out Xmas Party: Shocking Pinks, Mermaidens, Carb On Carb, Avoid! Avoid and Surf Friends make up the line-up this this year’s Flying Out Xmas Party, which takes place on Saturday at The Kings Arms. The show is co-curated this year with Blink (A Low Hum), and presales are available from Under The Radar or in-store at the Flying Out shop on Pitt St.

Jessica Pratt: Californian singer/songwriter Jessica Pratt just wrapped up a show in Queenstown last night and she heads North to Auckland for a show at The Tuning Fork later this evening. Pratt last played here in January off the back of her most recent album On Your Own Love Again, and ICYMI she also dropped into our studios for a quick visit while she was here. Find tickets for the show over at Ticketmaster.

Racing + Totems: Formed out of the ashes of The Checks, rock n roll outfit Racing play alongside experimental electronic artist Totems this Friday at Auckland’s Golden Dawn. Both acts have released new EPs recently – Racing dropped their self-titled debut back in June, while Totems has just sent his latest effort Elixir out into the world. Entry is $5 on the door.

DJ Douggpound: Here off the back of Tim and Eric’s show in Auckland on Friday, DJ Douggpound has also has a couple of performances of his own lined up over the weekend. He’ll be joined by Disasterdio and LA comedian Mikey Kampmann for shows at Meow in the capital on Saturday and Golden Dawn the following evening. As per, presales are available through Under The Radar.

Home Alone Music Xmas Party: Much like everyone else, local label Home Alone are getting into the holiday spirit by throwing a Christmas party this Saturday in Wellington. The location is top secret for now, but we know that French For Rabbits, Lake South, City Oh Sigh and Fraser Ross will all be playing on the night.
