Novelist: South London grime MC Novelist is in New Zealand for a one-off show this Friday at Neck Of The Woods. Final release tickets are still available via iTicket, and support comes from Two Face, Lowquid, Jason Howson and MC Koder.

The Conjurors: Auckland band The Conjurors are playing the Lucha Lounge this Saturday alongside Smokin’ Daggers and Magic Factory, a new 70s-style country act featuring members of The Raw Nerves. The venue is closing its doors for good next month, so what better time to head along.

The Beths: Following the release of their debut EP Warm Blood, Auckland act The Beths are heading South for shows in Christchurch and Dunedin over the weekend. Expect to see a handful of very good support acts as well, including Wurld Series and Moonpup. Find out everything you need to know over on Facebook.

Kane Strang and Mermaidens: Dunedin’s Kane Strang and Wellington’s Mermaidens are converging in Auckland this Friday for a double album release show at the Whammy backroom. We were lucky enough to have both talk to us about their records recently as part of our Verse Chorus Verse series. Catch up on them here and here and scoop up presales to the show via Under The Radar.

Mockasin, Arabia and Finn: Connan Mockasin, Lawrence Arabia and Liam Finn are getting together for a one-off sold-out show this Friday at Auckland’s The Crystal Palace. The performance marks the first time the three have played together in seven years (!), and profits from the show are going towards restoring the 90-year-old theatre.

Master Blaster: Hardcore Auckland act Master Blaster hit the road this Friday for a show at Wellington’s Valhalla. The band, who are said to have a new 7” on the way, will be joined by Rogernomix, Raw Panic and Ayn Randy (who are playing their first ever show). They'll also be playing in Palmerston North the following night. Details here.
