Herbs - Dragons & Demons
I chose this because it was just one of those songs that I heard growing up being around my drunk parents and their siblings. Of course there were many of these kind of songs, but I liked this one the most. Tom Scott would’ve picked Jah Son but this my is favourite from the Herbs.
Later on in my twenties I got hang out with one of the daughters of the Herbs (Liz) who was going out with my mate at the time and she gave a signed CD from her dad, Dilworth. I ended sampling this song down the line but that didn’t end going anywhere since I lost the files for it. This song will always have a special spot for me.

When The Cats Away - Melting Pot
This song was forever playing in my household and at family gatherings. For me, it's one of those songs that kind of gets stuck in your head. Lyrics, production and them five hotties singing the song.

Fur Patrol - Lydia
Loved this song since I first heard it, which was probably before I started getting more serious in producing music. I loved how it was structured and how the video has no microphones or instruments. It gave me a new appreciation for other genres outside of hip hop.

Che Fu - Scene Three
This is my favourite Che Fu song. The lyrics and production had me hooked from the opening scene of the video. I knew he was Niuean and being from the same island made it even better .
The video is so good with a dope story board. 2b S.Pacific is my favourite album from Che.

Chong Nee - Thin Line
This is my all time favourite New Zealand song. I looked up to Chong Nee as an up and coming producer. He had it all. A great voice and he's the man on any instrument. This was just one of those songs that was way before its time. To me its what R&B should sound like today! I hope he’s still producing music because he was one talented Samoan!
