DOM BOWDEN DAI HENWOOD

Dancing with the Stars is coming back (again!)! The show - in which Kiwi celebrities attempt to ballroom dance their way into the public consciousness - was last on air in 2015 when MediaWorks took the reins from TV1, and can be best remembered for the unfortunate incident that we apparently now refer to as “crotch-gate”.

Not returning, however, is Dominic Bowden who, in a curious move, has been replaced by Family Feud's Dai Henwood.

Maybe Dom was busy? Maybe he doesn’t mind? Or maybe, just maybe, somewhere Mike Puru is laughing quietly yet hysterically, watching Bachelor season one reruns, as ‘What Goes Around Comes Around’ plays on repeat.

BACHELOR NZ GOES GLOBAL

Well globalish. In preparation for their appearance representing New Zealand on the nightmarish sounding Bachelor Spin-off Bachelor Winter Games, season three bachelorettes Lily McManus and Ally Thompson were spotted waving from behind a New Zealand banner in a street parade in Vermont.

Conspicuously absent however was disgraced ex-Bachelor Jordan Mauger who is also set to appear on the show and who, as of Sunday, I can confirm was not in the US because I saw him at Golden Dawn drinking with two women while wearing an indescribably awful straw bucket hat.

STEVEN ADAMS XMAS ANECDOTE

Like all Steven Adams content, this video of him talking about the scooter he got for Christmas (and how it ultimately crossed him) is incredible, not only for the excellent story but for how he handles the weird and super-serious follow-up questions that US sports journalists feel compelled to ask.

Also god I love that hat.

CLARKE GAYFORD’S SUMMER FUN

If you see a naked adult man running gleefully under a sprinkler in Point Chev this weekend…

Don’t worry - it's just Clarke Gayford.
